You’ll find anything interesting when you’re tired.  And although I am a day late posting this, I’m glad I actually took a picture yesterday.  I slept until 1:30 pm, went to take a nap at 4:00, was awoken by Michael saying dinner was ready at 6:30 and was back in bed by 9:00…what a waste of a Saturday!   I am refreshed today…but back to the photo.

My grandparents had these type of radiators and they would scare the hell out of me.  Sean and I would sleep over gram and gramp’s when we were little and as soon as they turned on, we’d scream, or at least stare at each other with silent terror.  Even when I was 12, I remember being terrified. We were waking up early the next morning for a day trip and always enjoyed sleeping over, because we could eat what we wanted to and watch anything.  It had also been the year that Days of Our Lives decided to possess Marlena and do a terrible rip off of The Exorcist. It was a February, and even though the heat was on, the temp dropped enough that around midnight, the heater kicked on strong.  Perhaps it was the clanking of the metal, or the hissing of steam, but I swear I could see Deidre Hall’s crazed green eyes behind the TV as I clung to the covers on the sofa bed.  Much to say, I didn’t sleep much that night.

I’d like to say that at 28, this irrational fear of radiators has subsided, but no, especially after a few episodes of Ghost Adventures before bed.
