“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:  when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”  ~Charles Dickens

Last day of winter!  This weekend, I had Lea and Sarah over.  We went for a walk in my neighborhood and sat by Indian Lake throwing rocks at the ice…because throwing rocks at ice is incredibly fun.  I also fully believed that if we broke the ice up, summer would be that much closer.  This morning I wondered what the first picture of this blog would be when I was driving to the Gold Star Restaurant for a veggie omelet.  On the way back, there were a gaggle of Canadian Geese on Indian Lake…what’s a better way to usher in spring than ice melting on the lake with the geese flying north for summer?  I can’t think of anything better.
